Henryk Siemiradzki

Born  October 24, 1843 in Biełgoród near Charkow, Ukraine.
Died August 23, 1902 in Strzałkowo near Radom.
An academic painter, particularly known for his scenes from the ancient Graeco-Roman world and the New Testament. His well known works also include the painted curtains for the Juliusz Słowacki theatre in Kraków, and for the Lwów theatre.
